McCoy’s first sponsored Kaique Pacheco and Mason Taylor in 2022 as they competed in tough Professional Bull Riding events across the country. Now, our Brand Champions have grown in number to include both world-class bull riders and ropers.
Our Brand Champions embody McCoy’s values of hard work and family values. Get to know who’s riding for the brand:
Cort McFadden

Cort, like many of our riders, has been in the sport since a young age but became a professional rodeo athlete around two years ago. One of his favorite things about the sport is getting to travel and meet people who are like-minded. The accomplishment that he is most proud of is making the PBR finals in his rookie year.
Cort prepares for his next event by constantly working with his horses and cattle on a commercial cattle operation. This leads to his advice on aspiring rodeo athletes: “The only way to get better is to practice. The only way to win is to believe that you can win.”
In the future, Cort plans to have a cattle ranch and mentor young bull riders.
Cort knows McCoy’s well as his grandfather has worked for us for many years. Cort is thankful for McCoy’s sponsorship as it allows him to travel and do what he loves.
Daylon Swearingen

Daylon, a bull rider from New York, has been professionally riding since he was 18 years old and his favorite thing about bull riding is that once he climbs into the chute, he controls his own destiny. He says his greatest accomplishment was winning the World (The PBR Championship) and buying his first house and property.
Values play a big role in Daylon’s career as he tries to be the hardest working cowboy in the room and have a lot of grit (he also likes to think he’s a “pretty tough guy”). He says he has so many heroes, but his top three are Jerome Davis, Justin McBride, and Dustin Poitier.
While the PBR lifestyle is unique, Daylon’s whole family is involved in rodeo, and they all support each other. Another member of his family is his bull Roman who, if he could talk, would ask when he gets to go back to bull riding.
If you want to get started in this sport, Daylon says that “it doesn’t matter where you come from if you want something bad enough you just gotta go get it”. In fact, Daylon’s first job was picking up pinecones for his great aunt.
Daylon is excited to have McCoy’s as a sponsor because we are a “one stop shop for anything the working man could need”. Daylon says riding bulls is a very humbling sport with many highs and lows, so having sponsors means he has someone behind him every step of the way.
Marty Yates

Marty has been rodeoing professionally for 12 years and his favorite thing about his job is the “everyday is a new day” and you get to wake up with different opportunities. His personal values come out in many ways through his job from helping someone in a bind to meeting friendly faces during his travels. He says “you only get out what you put into something. So, I truly believe that the harder you work, the luckier you get.”
“The rodeo life can be very difficult mentally and physically” Marty says, but it’s also a special family affair as he gets to travel across the country with his wife and their daughter. His favorite accomplishment is being a dad. He thinks his horses, if they could talk, would ask him why they have to travel so much.
Outside of rodeoing, Marty has a small cattle operation and is always building or rebuilding on his land. He says he chose to be on board with McCoy’s as a sponsor because “they are a great company with great values and friendly faces.” He says McCoy’s comes in handy if you need a squeeze chute for just a couple of extra tools to get the job done.
His hero is professional rodeo entertainer Trevor Brazile. Marty says “to be able to juggle so many different events and raise a family at the same time is definitely something to look up to.”
